Ergonomic Assesment of a workplace

In Ergonomic Assesment, News, Office Furniture

Do You – as an Employer – want:
-less absenteeism?
-more productive staff?
-a healthier & happier workplace?

If you said YES to the above questions, you might consider carrying out an Ergonomic Assesment of your workplace.

Most people sit at their desks and get into a “Crouch, Pause, Engage” (forgive the rugby terms) position for their whole day at work. This causes major problems for the back, neck, wrists, eyesight and can result in a bad blood circulation in the legs.

The usual solution chosen by employers is investing in new chairs. This on its own, however, is never a sufficient way to deal with the issue. A complex ergonomic assesment will tackle all major areas such as workplace layout, seating and lighting.

Remember: your employees could have a reduced performance level by as much as 25%, simply by not having a proper workplace set up. This equates to 8 hours per week. Can you really afford this to happen in your business?

My name is John McEnery and my background is in Industrial Engineering for 25 years in which I developed ergonomic assesments of assembly lines and office workplaces and have over 15 years experience in this field.
